U.S. stocks closed mixed on Thursday. The Dow gained 112 points to 25527, the index was boosted due to the rising energy and industrial stocks, which helped steady the broader market as the latter was supported by easing U.S.-Europe trade tensions. The S&P 500 closed lower as gains in energy were offset by a slump in tech, led by a plunge in Facebook, after it wiped more than $130 billion off the company's market value, the biggest loss in history for a stock in the same day.
The Dow Jones Index closed at 25527 still trading above the triangle upper trendline for the third consecutive day. Price broke above the 25415 June highs which might lead towards the 25790 area going back to February highs, more upside is likely to come.
