U.S. equities were mixed as investors continued to worry over a sharp rise in interest rates. This comes in the midst of negative data and continuing tensions between the U.S. and China, with the US Treasury noting concerns about the depreciation in the Renminbi overnight. A jump in government bond yields over the past several sessions has perhaps signaled a new phase in the markets that have enjoyed a protracted period of ultra-low yields.
The Dow bounced back from earlier losses to finish higher Monday, up at about 39 points. During today's session the index may start falling towards the 26384 support level and bounce back towards the 26516 level thereafter. During Tuesday's session the Dow seems neutral but seems to start off as a good sell.
