Emaar Development (EMAARDEV) – Introduction and background

Emaar Development PJSC is the dedicated build-to-sell residential property development arm of Emaar Properties, trading as a separate entity since 2017.

Operating as part of the broader Emaar group since Emaar Properties’ incorporation in 1997, Emaar Development holds right of first refusal on all of the parent company’s UAE property development projects. EMAARDEV specialises in residential property including luxury apartments for domestic and overseas buyers.

Emaar Development first began trading on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) under the ticker EMAARDEV in November 2017, when Emaar Properties sold a 20% stake through an IPO that valued the company at over USD 6 billion. Emaar Properties retains a controlling 80% majority stake. EMAARDEV is traded by investors seeking direct exposure to the Dubai residential property market.

Investing in CFDs involves a high degree of risk that you will lose your money due to the use of leverage, particularly in fast moving markets, where a relatively small movement in the price can lead to a proportionately larger movement in the value of your investment. This can result in loses that exceed the funds in your account. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and you should seek independent advice if necessary.
