Gulf Insurance Group K.S.C.P. is the largest insurance group in Kuwait in terms of gross written and retained premiums in the life, non-life, and Takaful insurance segments. With substantial insurance networks in the Middle East and North Africa, it has companies in many countries in the region, such as Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, Syria, and more.
Established in 1962, Gulf Insurance Group was the first insurance company to lead the life and health insurance business in the local market. Today, the company and its subsidiaries operate through two main segments: General Risk Insurance and Life and Medical Insurance. Over the years, it has achieved significant growth through diversifying revenue resources. Its headquarters are in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Gulf Insurance Group is listed on Boursa Kuwait under the ticker symbol GINS. Its largest shareholder is KIPCO (Kuwait Projects Company), followed by Fairfax Financial Holdings, Canadian-based insurance business giant.
