Nama Chemicals is a chemical manufacturing company based in Saudi Arabia, specialised in petrochemicals.
Founded in 1992, Nama Chemicals specializes in producing and marketing a wide range of chemical products used in many different industrial applications. Headquartered in Jubail, Nama chemicals manufactures epoxy, epichlorohydrin, caustic soda, chlorine, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite and calcium chloride. The business has a significant share in the global production of many of these products. These petrochemicals have an extremely broad set of applications in manufacturing and other industries, and are exported worldwide. A European subsidiary is based in Switzerland.
Nama Chemicals is publicly traded on Tadawul, trading under the ticker 2210. Since its heavily oversubscribed 2008 IPO, Nama has experienced considerable volatility, in part due to market concerns about the price trajectory of petrochemicals. The company’s major shareholders are Saudi businessmen Fahd Bin Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al Khonaini and Hatim bin Hamad Abdullah Al-Suhaibani.
