Originally Netflix provided mailed DVD lists but adapted to provide streaming content. The company’s subscription-based model allows users to access content on-demand, giving them the flexibility to watch shows and movies at their convenience. Netflix now commissions a significant portion of its own content, facing new competition from other services such as Amazon Prime.

Netflix had its IPO on NASDAQ in 2002 and achieved dramatic success in the early 2010s. Since then, the stock has come under pressure due to greater competition and the expense of producing new content. The main shareholders are Vanguard and Blackrock.

Investing in CFDs involves a high degree of risk that you will lose your money due to the use of leverage, particularly in fast moving markets, where a relatively small movement in the price can lead to a proportionately larger movement in the value of your investment. This can result in loses that exceed the funds in your account. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and you should seek independent advice if necessary.
