What is a demo crypto trading account?
Demo crypto trading accounts allow you to test out trading strategies without risking real money. Demo accounts work by giving you dummy funding that you are able to invest in various coins. In every way other than the funding, the demo account functions exactly the same as a live trading account.
Who uses demo crypto accounts?
Anyone can use a demo crypto account, and most types of traders will benefit from them. Most fall into two broad categories; beginner investors and experienced traders looking to familiarise themselves with a different platform or test new strategies. In both cases, the demo account allows crypto traders to better understand how markets and the platform work. Some traders will run a new trading strategy on a demo account for a set period to test whether it works before going live.
How do cryptocurrency markets trade?
Cryptocurrencies are famous for extremely high levels of volatility. With the important exception of stablecoins, which in theory are supposed to perfectly track fiat currencies such as the US Dollar, crypto assets tend to move in dramatic price swings. The majority of coins exhibit price correlations with bitcoin, and generally crypto assets trade higher in a ‘risk on’ and lower in a ‘risk off’ market environment.
How long can I trade on the demo for?
You can explore demo trading on the MT4 platform for 90 days. During this time, you can place trades with virtual funds across the ADSS product range with our liquidity, spreads, and leverage. When you are ready or when the 90 days are up, you can switch to live trading on MT4 seamlessly.
Can I switch my demo account to a live trading account?
Yes, switching from a demo account to a live account can be done by simply getting in touch with our customer support team.
What can I trade with the cryptocurrency demo account?
CFDs on any cryptocurrency or digital asset that is tradable on the ADSS platform can be traded with a demo account. That means crypto CFD traders can easily access well-known coins such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and more. Crypto CFD is not tradable on MT4 with ADSS.
Can I reset my virtual funds on my demo account?
Yes. Traders who wish to restore their virtual balance of 50,000 USD in their demo trading account can do so by reaching out to our customer support team, who will be able to help you reset your balance. This feature can be useful when testing strategy performance.
