Oracle Corporation (ORCL) is a multinational technology company known for its expertise in developing and selling database software, cloud solutions, and enterprise software products. Oracle’s primary product line includes Oracle Database, an industry-leading relational database management system, which forms the core of many enterprise applications. In recent years, Oracle has focused on developing its presence in the cloud computing market.
Oracle’s IPO took place in 1986 and the stock has traded ever since on the NYSE. Larry Ellison retains an over 40% stake in the company, and the other major investments are funds such as Vanguard and Geode Capital Management.
