Taaleem Holdings PJSC (TAALEEM) – Introduction and background |
![]() |
Taaleem Holdings is one of the UAE’s largest private K-12 education providers, operating a portfolio of private and government-partnership schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering British, American and International Baccalaureate (EU) education standards to pupils.
Founded in 2004 as Beacon Education, the group underwent multiple rebrands, including to Madaares, then Taaleem. The group opened its first schools in 2005 and has expanded to operate more than 26 schools across the UAE. Taaleem institutions include premium private schools, including IB-offering institutions providing international qualifications, and government-partnership schools operated under the Dubai Schools initiative. The group relies on both government contracts and private fees to support its activities.
Taaleem listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) under the ticker TAALEEM in November 2022, becoming the first dedicated education provider to list on the exchange. National Bonds Corporation is the largest single shareholder with approximately 22% following open-market purchases. Because of their mixed portfolio, Taaleem is considered to have significant revenue diversification: the government-partnership segment offers more predictable enrolment and fee income, while the premium segment commands a higher fee profile and stronger margin potential.
